The Island of Mazatlan is located on the Gold Coast of Mexico that faces the Pacific Ocean. It is right across the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula.

This Island experiences a tropical climate and hence favours tourism all through the year. However, the relatively drier season from November to April is when tourism peaks here.
