Visit the  Isla Magdalena national park which spans over an area of around 1576 square kilometers and is a totally protected area in the Magdalena Island in the Patagonian region of South America. See the birds lay eggs here and see the nests covering them and then finally the eggs hatching. The eggs are laid the entire incubation is around 39 to 42 days. The parents share shifts in keeping them warm and if you are lucky enough you could see them hatch.

A very interesting sight here is to see the penguins swim. The penguins enjoy swimming and also swim when they search for food. It is very amusing and adorable to see the penguins changing their parental shift. The shifts are changed at 10 in the morning and 5 in the evening.

Easily accessed from the Paracas town, by boat, the place is around two hours from here. There are sea lions visible while on the boat ride and this in itself is a major attraction for all the tourists. In fact, the sea lions are responsible for a great spectacle with their wolf cries. The cries echo around the entire area of Ballestas and have a greatly resounding effect.

The wildlife here is enough reason why tourists might not want to halt and stay here. The other attraction here is the El Candelabro drawing on the hill that overlooks the Paracas Bay. This is a large scale Geoglyph which has been used as a beacon by many mariners. It is not known how this Geoglyph originated.

Visit the town of Pisco and enjoy the taste of the grape brandy for which this region is famous for. This is what makes the interesting cocktail Pisco Sour. There is very little rainfall here in this land and the small oasis visible here have housed life for many thousands of years.

The Paracas and the Ballestas Islands form a part of the itinerary of the tourists who visit the Galapagos Islands and the surrounding areas. Amongst the 130 islands in the bay of Guanabara in the Rio de Janeiro region, the beaches here are the major tourist attractions. Around 11 small beaches are found here. Paqueta was the summer home for the Dom Jaoa VI the king of Portugal which was then Brazil. This king was on an exile here with his family during the time France invaded Portugal. Then these two sons rebelled in Brazil and won the independence for Portugal in the year 1825. Pedro the first son was incidentally the first Brazilian emperor.

The months of April to November are the best times to visit this land. Tourists come here on weekends and enjoy the ferry ride to this beautiful paradise. These ferries leave from Praca XV. There are 80 minute ferries and there are those which are fast rides too. These fast ferries are called hydrofoils. Going by foot is the best way to go around the island. Paqueta, the island paradise has a great festival the St.Peter’s festivity, which is in honour of the saint of the fishermen, St.Peters.Though the fishing industry is not really active here yet the festival is still celebrated.

Rio de Janeiro is popular among tourists as the destination of wild beaches and ultimate parties. But this place is also known for its beautiful, calm archipelago that lies just around 3 km from the coast of the Ipanema beach. The Cagarras Islands are one such group of islands which form an ideal travel destination for a travel enthusiast. Known as Ilhas Cagarras, this is a place which is a hub of wildlife and also famous for the beautiful sea gulls and the marine birds. The only way to reach the Cagarras Islands is to hire a boat, or take a reservation in the boat tours. These excursions generally leave from Marina da Gloria and take you around the Copacabana beach, and the Sugarloaf Mountain.
