Menorca Island, Spain
The island is smaller than Mallorca in the west. An alternate name of the island is Minorca, or Minor Island, which makes its size evident. The island is populated by less than a hundred thousand permanent residents, but the huge influx of tourists keeps the island abuzz all year through. The pleasant Mediterranean climate in the island makes it a pleasure to indulge in the huge range of activities offered at the island. The temperature never goes below the mid fifties, even in the nighttime in the coldest months. The summer months are in hot and dry in comparison. The water temperature here stays warm all through the year. Bozcaada island
Bozcaada ( pron. boz – ja – ah – dah ) is an island located in the Aegean Sea. It is located off the western outlet of Dardanelles in Turkey. The island was known in ancient times as Tenedos. Bozcaada is situated twelve mi from Canakkale Strait and stretches over a total area of close to forty thousand kilo meters. The island is shaped like a triangle, with one edge closest to the mainland. Bozcaada Island has close to two thousand people inhabiting it. The Island inhabitants are mostly fishermen and grape farmers. However, tourism is the main source of income for the economy. There is only one town in Bozcaada island and this lies on the north east corner, and faces the main land of turkey. Hvar island is located as part of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea. The island is mid sized, and extends to almost eighty kilo meters to the west and east. The island of Hvar is one of Croatia’s most important contributors to the revenue added to by tourist income and foreign exchange. The isle of Tiree is a minuscule island that lies as part of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland, and is only about ten mi in length and about four mi in width, that too in parts.
